A general wood company that aims to improve operational efficiency through precision work

Haseman is a comprehensive wood company handling everything from timber procurement, processing, sales and construction from Koto City near central Tokyo. The company processes timber for roughly 200 homes every month. The cross-section of the timber’s joints is checked with precision during the processing for gaps and deviations allowing for smoother assembly at construction sites and earning high praise from carpenters.

Creating a sustainable society through “wood education”

Since 2015, Haseman has been creating opportunities for children to appreciate real wood through their “wood education” activity. The company founded “Wood Lab” to focus on timber research and to bring wood as a material back to popularity through the proposition of woodwork classes and dog-shed construction workshops as well as through the sales of wooden household items such as toys and furniture.
The company also founded Fukagawa Umisakura, an NPO that conducts litter picking in the city as a public awareness campaign for the protection of the natural environment of the seas and mountains.
